Raleigh — “Yesterday President Obama declared that, “he can’t change Washington from the inside.” I don’t believe that to be true, he has changed Washington, but he hasn’t changed it for the better. ‘Hope and Change’ has become nothing more than ‘Hype and Blame.’
I don’t understand why Obama and Harry Reid have failed to produce a budget. Even when the Democrats controlled the White House, the Senate, and the US House, they still failed to pass a budget. Our debt now stands at $16 trillion. We’ve never added so much debt in so little time. The unemployment rate in our great state of North Carolina is now 9.7%, one of the highest in the nation. This is unacceptable.
And it’s not just our problems at home that have put our nation at risk. Across the Middle East we’re seeing our embassies violated and prestige damaged. Before this crisis unfolded, the President missed intelligence briefings. In July we learned that his jobs council hadn’t met in 6 months. It seems like the only thing President Obama has time for is campaigning.
We have tried the Obama method for more spending and record deficits. We have tried the Perdue-Dalton method of higher taxes. Neither has worked. Obama has promised to do more of the same in his second term, and Walter Dalton is on the record stating that his agenda is “very much the same” as Governor Perdue’s. The time is now to change course.
Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and Pat McCrory have proposed serious solutions to tackle our biggest problems. North Carolina needs an economic comeback, and when we elect Mitt Romney and Pat McCrory in November, that comeback will begin!” – NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes
